SIAMSSIAMS Sonning JosephThe inspection process for Diocesan Church Schools is now called ‘Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools’. The inspections follow a timetable independent of Ofsted. The principal objective of the inspection is to evaluate the distinctiveness and effectiveness of the school as a church school. SIAMS retains the same core questions as SIAS: How well does the school, through its distinctive Christian character, meet the needs of all learners? What is the impact of collective worship on the school community? How effective is the religious education? How effective are the leadership and management of the school as a church school? A revised self-evaluation schedule is now in force and is available from the link below The church school’s self-evaluation, will seek to judge how well the distinctive Christian character and values ensure the development and achievement of the whole child or young person. - See more at: http://www.oxford.anglican.org/schools/siams/#sthash.XGBxCriO.dpuf
